TaskZest – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to TaskZest (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TaskZest website, mobile application, and services.

By accessing or using TaskZest, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Platform Role & Definition

TaskZest is a multinational on-demand service marketplace platform that connects customers (“Users”, “You”) with independent third-party service providers (“Service Providers”, “Professionals”).

⚠️ TaskZest is NOT a service provider and does not directly perform services.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Misuse, fraud, or abuse may result in account suspension or termination

3. Booking & Service Requests

When you book a service through TaskZest:

  • You agree to the displayed scope, pricing, and timeline
  • Bookings are binding once confirmed
  • Any changes must be approved through the Platform

4. Inspection Policy (Binding Clause)

4.1 Dispatch Equals Service Initiation

Once a service provider is dispatched for inspection, the service is deemed initiated.

👉 ALL INSPECTION VISITS ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE, including but not limited to:

  • Site visits
  • Diagnostic checks
  • Assessments or quotations
  • Call-out visits

This applies even if:

  • You decline the quoted price
  • You cancel after inspection
  • You do not proceed with the work
  • You change your mind

This rule exists to protect professional time, logistics, and operational costs.

5. Pricing, Payments & Fees

  • Prices shown may include:
    • Service charges
    • Inspection fees
    • Platform fees
  • Payments must be made in advance unless stated otherwise
  • All payments are processed securely via third-party payment gateways

TaskZest does not store card or banking details.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Before Provider Dispatch

  • Free cancellation allowed

6.2 After Dispatch or Inspection

  • NON-REFUNDABLE
  • Includes same-day or immediate cancellations

7. Service Completion & Acceptance

  • Users must inspect the service immediately upon completion
  • Issues must be reported:
    • Before the provider leaves (where possible), or
    • Within 24 hours (48 hours for complex services)

Failure to report within this window means the service is accepted as complete.

8. Refunds, Rework & Disputes

Refunds are governed by the TaskZest Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Key rules:

  • Inspection fees are never refundable
  • Rework is the primary remedy
  • Partial refunds may apply (excluding inspection)
  • TaskZest’s dispute decision is final and binding

9. Service Provider Relationship

  • Providers are independent contractors
  • TaskZest does not control how services are performed
  • Providers are responsible for:
    • Licenses
    • Tools
    • Insurance
    • Legal compliance

10. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and lawful access to premises
  • Disclose known issues or hazards
  • Treat providers respectfully
  • Not solicit providers outside the platform

Violation may lead to termination without refund.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Abuse inspection services
  • Submit false refund claims
  • Harass or threaten providers
  • Bypass platform payments
  • Use TaskZest for unlawful purposes

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • TaskZest’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the service
  • Inspection fees are excluded
  • TaskZest is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TaskZest from:

  • Claims arising from your misuse
  • Breach of these Terms
  • Violation of laws or third-party rights

14. Suspension & Termination

TaskZest may suspend or terminate accounts without notice if:

  • Fraud is detected
  • Policies are abused
  • Terms are violated repeatedly

Outstanding payments remain due.

15. Intellectual Property

All platform content, logos, trademarks, and materials belong to TaskZest.
Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

16. Privacy & Data Use

Use of TaskZest is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where TaskZest operates.
Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or courts as determined by TaskZest.

18. Policy Updates

TaskZest may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
