TaskZest Refund & Return Policy
At TaskZest, we strive to deliver reliable, professional, and transparent on-demand services through verified independent service providers (“Professionals”). This policy defines how inspections, cancellations, refunds, rework, and disputes are handled across the TaskZest platform.
By booking a service, you agree to this policy in full.
1. Nature of Services
TaskZest operates as a multinational on-demand service marketplace platform. Services are delivered by independent third-party professionals. Due to the time-based and logistical nature of services, refunds are subject to strict eligibility rules.
2. Inspection Policy (Critical Clause)
2.1 Inspection Dispatch = Service Initiation
Once TaskZest dispatches a service provider for inspection, the service is considered initiated.
👉 All inspection visits are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE, regardless of whether:
- The customer proceeds with the service
- The customer changes their mind
- The quoted price is not accepted
- The service is postponed or declined after inspection
This is because inspection involves:
- Professional time allocation
- Travel and logistics costs
- Opportunity cost for the provider
3. Non-Refundable Inspection Services
The following are explicitly non-refundable once a professional is dispatched:
- Site inspections
- Diagnostic visits
- Assessments, evaluations, or quotations
- Call-out or visit fees
- Any service where a professional has arrived or attempted to arrive
No exceptions apply unless TaskZest confirms provider misconduct or non-attendance.
4. Service Completion & Customer Inspection
4.1 Customer Responsibility
- Customers must inspect the work immediately upon completion
- Any issues must be reported:
- Before the professional leaves the site (where possible), or
- Within 24 hours (48 hours for complex services)
Failure to report issues within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the service.
5. Refund Eligibility (Post-Inspection Services Only)
Refunds may be considered only after inspection has already occurred and only for the actual service work, not the inspection itself, if:
- The service was not delivered at all
- The work is materially incomplete
- There is verified professional negligence
- The service significantly deviates from the agreed scope
⚠️ Inspection fees remain non-refundable in all cases.
6. Rework Policy (Primary Resolution)
TaskZest prioritizes correction and rework over refunds.
If a valid issue is confirmed:
- Free rework may be arranged, OR
- A replacement professional may be assigned, OR
- A partial refund may be issued (excluding inspection fees)
7. Full Refund Conditions (Limited)
A full refund (excluding inspection fees) may be issued only if:
- The service provider never arrived
- No inspection occurred
- No work was performed
- TaskZest fails to provide a replacement where required
8. Cancellation Policy
8.1 Before Dispatch
- Free cancellation before provider dispatch
8.2 After Dispatch (Including Inspection)
- NON-REFUNDABLE
- Applies even if the service is canceled immediately after inspection
9. Dispute Resolution Process
All disputes must be raised within 24–48 hours of service completion.
TaskZest will review:
- Inspection records
- Communication logs
- Evidence submitted by both parties
Possible outcomes:
- Rework
- Partial refund (excluding inspection)
- Service credit
- Claim rejection
TaskZest’s decision is final and binding.
10. Fraud & Abuse Protection
TaskZest reserves the right to:
- Deny refunds for misuse of inspection services
- Suspend accounts for repeated cancellations after inspection
- Recover losses due to policy abuse
11. Liability Limitation
TaskZest’s liability is limited to the service amount paid, excluding inspection fees.
Indirect or consequential damages are not covered.
12. Policy Updates
TaskZest may update this policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
